Our Staff
All of the employees at DSP are local to the area. We are friends and neighbors who grew up together and now enjoy many of the benefits that rural life affords us and our families.
DSP is one of the largest employers in the area. The ability to draw on the hard working and industrious labour pool is both a competitive advantage and a privilege for our company.
With ten full time employees and up to 20 seasonally, flexibility in the work schedule is a perk. If an employee has to tend to a family farm emergency, needs a day in the city, time to haul grain, or wants to attend his or her children's school sporting events, time is always granted to an employee.
Staff training is important for both the staff and DSP. One or more of the staff have been trained in the following areas:
- Pulse and Spice grading (SGS trained).
- ISO/HACCP (In house Quality Manual, Procedure Manual, Operating Manual).
- WHMIS or Workplace Hazardous Materials (Carlton Regional College).
- Lift Truck Operator Safety Training Course (A.R. Williams Material Handling Ltd.).
- First Aid /CPM (Carlton Regional College).
- Confined Space Awareness (Carlton Regional College).
- Supply Chain Food Product Recall Workshop (Food & Consumers Products Man of Canada) .
- Advanced Skills for Administrative Assistants (The Banff Academy For Business).
- Agribusiness Management Development Program (University Of Saskatchewan).
- USA Customs Seminar (Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership).
- On Farm Auditor Training (Canadian Federation of Agriculture & SGS).
- CSCA Trade Rules and Arbitration (Canadian International Grains Institute & CSCA).
There are numerous conventions, trade shows, annual meetings, and seminars that are also attended as part of DSP's everyday business.

NSF-ISR has provided registration and certification that DSP has been assessed and is compliant to HACCP and Food Safety Systems.
